Its a nice day for a white wedding...

A few hisptamatic pics of a gorgeous Saturday afternoon wedding!  The couple are so unique and I really think they let that shine through in their wedding, from the personalised guitar picks handed out to guests, braces worn by the groom and the bride's stunning short wedding dress with feathers (hard to see in the photos but amazing!). It was designed by Galleria Couture in Perth, WA. A real stunner, although I don't think I have the legs to pull it off!

Now just waiting for our gorgeous K's wedding in WA's South West region this weekend..I hear its going to be amazing!

My first Canon EOS

Last week I bought my first Canon EOS and signed up to do an online photography course pretty much the same day. That is so me in a way, I get an idea and I throw myself into it! Earlier this week I did my first assignment, I had an email the very next day from my tutor who said that I had passed! I know it's the very first module and that it will get harder from here, but at least I'm on the road. There are 12 modules to get through and I have 6 months to complete the course. Wish me good luck!

In the photo above you can see my new nice bracelet that our postman kindly delivered this morning. I had ordered it earlier in the week and was surprised by the quick delivery. It is made of Italian nappa leather and has a stainless steel riding clasp. Love it already!

quick & easy mini frittatas

I just quickly made a batch of these for Harley's lunch when he wakes up from his morning nap :) would also be great for easy party food! You could put bacon in them for more flavour, but I just used red onion, zucchini & tomato, with a bit of philli cheese on top!

You need a mini muffin tin, 6 eggs, milk and whatever else you would like to put in them. Whisk the eggs with a bit of milk, chop all ingredients finely and put into the lightly greased mini muffin tin. Pour egg mixture on top.

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10-15 minutes! Voila!

Serve warm or cold - too easy!

long weekend down south with the boys

I wish I could say that I am refreshed after a long weekend down south with my boys, plus Joel & Bettinas boys 2yo Taj & 12 week old Levi.. Tina & Joel had a wedding on Saturday at Driftwood Winery, so we babysat the boys, luckily they all behaved and went to sleep for us. Harley had a great time playing with Taj, its nice to see.
We had a fun time at Eagle Bay beach in the mornings, the boys playing in the shore and getting covered in sand! Sunday arvo was spent relaxing at Eagle Bay Brewery , food, wine & beer.. ahhh nom nom nom.. oh & Harley wore his new Petite Bateau blue & white striped overalls which were given to him by Aunty Kas & Uncle Cris for his birthday, all the way from Paris <3

sixteen days is not a long period of time. that is how long until i become a mrs. it is so exciting, yet daunting and scary at the same time. i have my final dress fitting next friday and as long as all goes according to plan, will be taking my beautiful dress home with me that day also.

samantha wynne in mt hawthorn is a well known perth bridal designer who stocks not only her own range, but other popular ranges including pronovias, elie saab and wendy makin amongst others. my dress is a samantha wynne design, which pleases me no end as i love giving my support to western australian designers!

my beautiful bridesmaid d (mother of master harley, lover of avocado) is also wearing a western australian designer gown, aurelio costarella. his designs always seem to be cut so well and look stunning, it will only be a matter of time before he is dressing half of hollywood!

There seems to be so much to do in the weeks leading up to your wedding...hair appointments to be made, dress fittings to attend, vows to be written, lists to be made and amended, cases to be packed...and the list goes on and on! Just holla if you need us K!! xo C

Saturday afternoon Wedding

Weddings must be one of the best events to attend on a Saturday afternoon. Last weekend it was Mel & Sam who tied the knot. We arrived at the ceremony which was in a lovely park with a fantastic view over the river. They had the perfect set up for a garden wedding with a long white carpet and white chairs for the guests. It was a typical hot summer's day, but the soft breeze gave us some relief from the heat.

The reception was at a heritage listed restaurant on Applecross foreshore. I loved the dark wood interior of the old building with the beautifully set tables and white flowers. After the formal part of the reception, we all went to the outdoor dance floor where we danced the night away with the newlyweds.
