I’ve had about 10 lovely days with my family here in Sweden and I’m feeling fantastic! The country, people and food all feel so familiar, there is something very special about coming home. Coming home to my parents and my brothers that I grew up with. Perth and Australia is fantastic in every way, but there is a special twinkling feeling in my body when I’m here in my home country.
I’ve meet a very special addition to the family, my niece Alicia. She is just adorable, she is already such a character and we all catch ourselves looking at her with great love in our eyes. She has got a very happy personality and she smiles as soon as she sees one of us. She is also one of the cuddliest little babies I’ve ever met.
Adam came to Sweden the day before my birthday, it was great to feel complete on my special day. We had a lovely day with lots of laughter and good food. It all ended with mum’s special chocolate cake, yum!
Adam and I spent an hour and a half on two different airplanes this morning and I’m now sitting in our hotel room in Visby, Gotland. Adam decided to test out the bed so I thought this would be a good time for a little post. The hotel was built in the 14th century and the receptionist told us with a smile on her face that our room was the least haunted one.. Oh gosh I think I may have to sleep with the light on…
