Sweet!

The above sweets are the desserts for Adam and my dinner party tonight. I love cooking (and taking photos of it) and I can’t wait to see tonight’s guests. There are two “brides to be” and one who got married this year amongst us, so I am guessing there will be lots of wedding talk! I get to see a wedding album with photos taken by Natasja Kremer tonight too, I hope Adam loves the photos. Wish me good luck girls, really want Natasja!!

This is my dear niece Alicia having a power nap in the middle of a play with her Australian Zoo animals.
It must be nice to know that there are pillows all around and that she can just easily put her head down for a little nap. She is even holding on to her little crocodile, so cute!

There was a surprise for me in the mailbox today. My mum has organised a magazine subscription to get sent to me all the way from Sweden. It is one of my favourite magazines to get inspiration from, it features real homes and loads of furnishing ideas and trends.

i'm still a sports girl

hi ladies. i had to share my new purchase with you,
especially after you were all bagging out Sportsgirl, saying they were going through a 'bad fluro stage'.. today i went in and had a little look, and unexpectedly came across a few things i liked!

i bought this interesting piece (ignore the other elements in this photo, namely these hideous beige tights!). i'm not too sure what to call it? its kind of a sheer maxi, but cropped at the front. anyway, i saw its potential, its just so versatile!

i can imagine it when the weather is a little warmer with a summery dress and strappy flats. in winter with stockings, boots and a long top. over a maxi dress to create a nice layering effect. even with a singlet & jeans!?

tonight i'll rock it with my new leather mini dress from Zara, black stockings and pumps.

it might even make an appearance on monday night for kassy's last supper. i think its my new fave!

cocktails in milk bottles

these cocktails - recipe found on what katie ate - were a hit, and extra cute served in glass milk bottles with retro stripey straws and little name tags!

still thinking about what a fantastic night saturday was! felt like we were in highschool again, but better! we played pass the parcel and ordered in pizza and made cocktails, and sat up all night gossiping. girls nights are the best!

i'm looking forward to catching up with kassy one last time before she embarks on an amazing new journey,
see you all on monday for yummy food & wine!

i want to join the circus!

Whilst in Bali, we discovered this fabulous little cafe close to Seminyak beach called Sea Circus. They did a great breakie. Oh, and the iced coffees were so so good, I actually had two in one sitting. On more than one occasion.

I was really taken by the cute flower arrangements & pastel colours. And the picture wall in the bathroom..

Another assignment

I have passed another assignment and I’m now happily moving onto the next one! The module was all about light & colour and the development of colour theory. Part of the assignment was to change a colour image to black&white and to fix over- and underexposed images. The photos above were part of my assignment.
